About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst with a strong proficiency in R to join our team at GeoTechnoSoft. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business strategy and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a solid foundation in data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to define business questions and identify relevant data sources.
Clean, process, and analyze complex datasets using R, with a focus on libraries such as the tidyverse (including dplyr and ggplot2) and tidyr.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using R libraries like ggplot2 and Shiny to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various databases.
Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to build robust data pipelines and models.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in R for data analysis. You should be comfortable with data wrangling, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis using libraries like the tidyverse.
Solid experience with SQL for querying and managing databases.
Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., ggplot2, Shiny).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to data analysis.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of basic statistical modeling and machine learning concepts.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
