Job Description: Senior Network Specialist
Role Summary
The Senior Network Specialist will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and advanced maintenance of our enterprise-level network infrastructure, covering LAN, WAN, Data Center, and security domains. This role requires a senior expert capable of leading complex network projects and resolving Tier-3 network issues.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture: Design and implement robust, high-availability network solutions using advanced routing/switching (Cisco, Juniper, Arista preferred).
Advanced Configuration: Expert configuration and troubleshooting of complex routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPNs, and QoS mechanisms.
Network Security: Manage and configure Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
Performance & Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance, capacity, and conduct deep-dive packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark) to optimize network efficiency.
Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational documentation.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network administration staff.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering and Administration.
Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA from a recognized institution.
Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in enterprise-grade switching, routing, and firewall technologies. Strong knowledge of SD-WAN, MPLS, and Cloud networking concepts.
Certifications: Professional-level network certification is mandatory (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent).
Skills: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure issues.
